Transfer and Visiting
1. Purpose
This policy clarifies and outlines how Maghreb vACC manages visitors, from within and outside of Maghreb vACC. It is based on ‘VATSIM-POL-TVCP Ver. 2.0’ and the ‘VATMENA – Transfer Policy’. Adherence to this policy ensures compliance with both VATSIM and VATMENA policies.
2. Structure
Maghreb vACC is a subdivision within VATMENA that consits of 3 FIR: Morroco FIR, Algeria FIR and Tunis FIR. Each FIR consits of its own training and procedurs.
The Training Director oversees all training-related matters and reports only to the vACC Director and VATMENA staff.
3. Visiting Within Maghreb vACC
If a controller wishes to control in other FIRs within Maghreb vACC, they will be officially designated as a Visiting Controller.
The controller must submit send an email training@vatsim.ma. The "Reason for visiting request" must include:
1. Application text detailing motivation and ability to provide good service to pilots after training.
2. Home vACC/ARTCC.
3. Contact details of the home vACC Director or Training Director.
3.1.1 Requirments For Controllers Within VATMENA
Any control who his home division is within VATMENA will require the following requirments:
- Hold the rating of S2
- Be an Active Controller
- Have a minimum of 50 hours controlling within the home allocation
- Have controlled 5 hours in the last 6 month
- Not have a disciplinary history within the last year
If all the above-mentioned criteria are met, the controller may request familiarization in any desired FIR within Maghreb vACC via the HQ accesable directly from our website or via mail to the Training Director. The controller will be subject to the training queue on the same terms as home controllers in the visiting FIR.
3.1.2 Requirments For Controllers Outside Of VATMENA
Any control who his home division is outside VATMENA will require the following requirments:
- Hold the rating of S3
- Be an Active Controller
- Have a minimum of 50 hours controlling within the home allocation
- Have controlled 5 hours in the last 6 month
- Not have a disciplinary history within the last year
If all the above-mentioned criteria are met, the controller may request familiarization in any desired FIR within Maghreb vACC via the HQ accesable directly from our website or via mail to the Training Director. The controller will be subject to the training queue on the same terms as home controllers in the visiting FIR.
3.1.3 The Familiarization/Training
The visiting trainee must undergo training for both familiarization with the airport as well as a sweatbox before controlling on the network. It is the responsibility of the Training Director to ensure the trainee has sufficient knowledge of the position before granting visiting rights.
Training for new ratings can only occur in the Home FIR.
3.1.4 Requirments For Visiting Controllers
All visiting controllers within any FIR covered by Maghreb vACC are subject to the following requirements:
1. The visitor must perform at least half of their controlling within their Home Allocation.
2. The visitor must have at least 3 hours each 3 month of active controlling in the visiting FIR.
3. The visitor must not perform below the average level within the visiting FIR or disrupt fellow controllers and/or pilots.
If any of these requirements are not met, the Training Manager must inform the visitor and suggest corrective measures. The visitor must immediately implement these corrective measures to meet all requirements again. If the visitor fails to perform the corrective measures within a 14-day period to the mentor satisfaction, the training director will be involved in making a final decision where the controller can loose their endorsment for visiting.
