Rating Fast-Track

IVAO Rating Transfer Eligibility

When transferring from IVAO to VATSIM under Maghreb vACC, only certain ratings are eligible for transfer. Ratings below APC (ADC and lower) cannot be fast-tracked.

IVAO Rating Equivalent VATSIM Rating
ADC and below Not Transferable
APC S2
ACC and above S3

To request a rating transfer, send an email to training@vatsim.ma with a screenshot of your IVAO profile. This will be reviewed and uploaded to VATMENA’s system for verification. Ensure that personal details other than your name are blacked out before submission.

Real-Life ATCO & Pilot Fast-Track Process

If you hold a real-world pilot or air traffic control license, you may be eligible for a fast-track rating under VATMENA’s policies. The following guidelines apply:

Real-World Qualification VATSIM Rating
Frozen ATPL, ATPL, MPL, and real-world ATCO up to TWR S2
All real-world ATCOs S3

To apply for a Fast-Track Upgrade, send an email to training@vatsim.ma with a scanned copy of your real-world license.

Your license will be reviewed and uploaded to VATMENA’s system, where a limited number of authorized personnel (Maghreb vACC & VATMENA Staff) will have access to verify it. Please ensure that personal details other than your name are blacked out before submission.

Fast-Track Ratings Under VATMENA

Fast-track members in the VATMENA region must follow the VATMENA ATC Training Policy. They are treated as regular subdivision controllers when it comes to training priority.

Application Requirements

To qualify for a Fast-Track, you must:

  • Attempt and pass the VATMENA Divisional Exam corresponding to the rating you are pursuing.
  • After passing the exam, your subdivision (Maghreb vACC) must submit a rating application request to VATMENA’s ATC Department (atc@vatsim.me).
  • Provide one of the following documents:
    • Screenshot of your IVAO profile (for IVAO fast-track applicants)
    • Real-world license (for real-world ATCO or pilot applicants)
Fast-Track Controller Performance
  • VATMENA reserves the right to reject any Fast-Track request if performance is insufficient or if knowledge gaps are too significant.
  • VATMENA also has the authority to accelerate training up to the C1 rating if the Fast-Track candidate demonstrates outstanding performance.

Fast-Track Program: Procedures

Candidates in the Fast-Track program must complete the following steps:

  1. Complete the VATMENA S1 theory exam.
  2. Pass a practical session in a sweatbox (covering local aerodrome knowledge and training on EuroScope or another ATC client).
  3. Complete the VATMENA S2 theory exam.
  4. Pass a standard CPT on the network.
  5. Complete the VATMENA S3 theory exam.
  6. Pass a standard CPT on the network.
  7. Complete the VATMENA C1 theory exam.
  8. Pass a standard CPT on the network.

Each rating will only be issued after successfully passing both theory and practical assessments. The goal of this program is to reduce training time compared to a standard ATC trainee, which can take months or years to reach C1.

Refusal of Fast-Track Rating

Maghreb vACC and VATMENA reserve the right to deny a Fast-Track Upgrade if the applicant:

  • Fails to provide a copy of their real-world license or evidence of an IVAO rating.
  • Has a bad VATSIM record.
  • Displays inappropriate behavior.
  • Fails to understand and comply with virtual ATC concepts.
  • Fails to pass the VATMENA Divisional Theory Exams.
  • Fails to meet the set training requirements.
